Poderi Aldo Conterno is one of Barolo's most revered estates, based in Monforte d'Alba in the Langhe hills of Piedmont. Granbussia is the estate's flagship Riserva, produced only in exceptional vintages from the historic Bussia cru, blending Nebbiolo from three of the estate's oldest and most prestigious vineyards: Romirasco (70%), Cicala (15%) and Colonnello (15%).

The 2015 vintage is 100% Nebbiolo (Michet and Lampia clones), hand-harvested and fermented traditionally with extended skin contact. The wine is aged for over 30 months in large oak casks, followed by extended refinement in bottle before release, reflecting the estate's philosophy of patience.

Elegant aromas of dried roses, violets, red cherries and raspberries are complemented by tobacco leaf, leather and forest floor. The palate is powerful yet refined, with layers of ripe cherry, dark berries, liquorice and spice, fine-grained tannins providing structure alongside vibrant acidity and impressive depth, closing on a long, complex finish of dried fruit, truffle and polished oak.
