Snakes & Ladders 2021 Sauvignon Blanc

Thorne & Daughters is part of South Africa's "New Wave" — a generation of producers reimagining familiar grapes through serious, site-specific winemaking. 'Snakes & Ladders' is sourced from 35-year-old bush vines on the rugged slopes of the Skurfberg mountains, Citrusdal Mountain, on the Cape's west coast.

The 2021 vintage is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, fermented with wild yeast to build texture and savoury complexity rather than overt tropical fruit.

Expect blackberry leaf, wild grass and herbal nuances alongside honey melon and ripe citrus, with a flinty, smoky minerality. The palate is bold yet precise, with bracing acidity giving real textural weight.
