Tanqueray London Dry Gin was created by Charles Tanqueray in 1830 at his distillery in Bloomsbury, London, and is still made to his original recipe today. It has gone on to become one of the world's best-selling London Dry Gins, distilled at the historic Cameronbridge Distillery in Scotland.
The recipe is kept deliberately simple: just four botanicals — juniper, coriander, angelica root and liquorice — quadruple-distilled in traditional copper pot stills for a clean, well-balanced spirit. It's best known as the backbone of a classic G&T, served with a premium tonic, plenty of ice and a wedge of lime, though it also holds its own in a Martini.
Nose: Crisp juniper up front with peppery coriander and a floral lift. Palate: Bold and well-rounded, juniper-forward with warming angelica root and a sweet liquorice note. Finish: Clean, dry and refreshing.
