The Glenrothes distillery has crafted single malt Scotch whisky in the heart of Speyside since 1879, renowned for a house style built on rich, sherry-cask maturation and a slow, patient approach to whisky-making. Rather than relying on age or peat, Glenrothes lets time and wood do the work, favouring quality first-fill sherry-seasoned oak to build layers of fruit, spice and gentle sweetness.
This 25 Year Old expression, part of the distillery's prestigious Soleo Collection, has matured for a quarter of a century predominantly in first-fill, sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks. The extended maturation delivers a deep, natural colour and a rounded, well-integrated character, avoiding the over-oaked bitterness that can affect lesser ultra-aged malts.
