The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve No.7

The Lakes Distillery, nestled by Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria, has built its single malt house style around meticulous sherry-cask maturation since its founding in 2011. The Whiskymaker's Reserve series charts the distillery's ongoing exploration of flavour, refining its signature sherry-led style release by release.

No.7 in the series has matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and red wine casks, built from Spanish and American oak. Non-chill filtered and free from added colour, it offers an elegant evolution of The Lakes' developing house character.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Elegant sweetness, rich and creamy honeyed fruits, with a hint of dark chocolate.

Palate: Fragrant notes, warming spices and cocoa nibs.

Finish: Warm and rounded.
