The whisky is matured exclusively in first-fill American oak (Quercus Alba), including casks that previously held bourbon and sherry-seasoned American oak. This careful maturation draws out the naturally occurring coconut lactones from the wood, allowing the coconut flavour to shine through without losing the classic Macallan profile. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, the .3 serves as a playful nod to the coconut's three germination "eyes".
