Tomatin 14 Year Old Port Cask with FREE tasting notebook

Tomatin distillery lies in the Highlands near Inverness, one of Scotland's larger and historically significant distilleries, known for a soft, fruit-forward house style and a willingness to experiment with cask finishing.

The 14 Year Old is matured in ex-bourbon casks before finishing for approximately two years in first-fill Tawny Port pipes that previously held port for around 50 years — the first expression from Tomatin to be finished in this style of cask. The result is soft, smooth and sweet, with the port casks contributing rich berry and nutty notes.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich but balanced aromas of red berries, sweet honey and toffee.

Palate: Light fruits and nuts.

Finish: An abiding finish of smooth fruit salad.
