Trinity Hill 2018 Magnum Gimblett Gravels Syrah (150cl)

Trinity Hill is a leading producer in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, and one of the founding wineries of the Gimblett Gravels — a narrow band of free-draining, sun-trapping shingle soils recognised as one of the country's finest sites for Syrah and Bordeaux varieties.

This 2018 Syrah is grown on the Gimblett Gravels' distinctive stony soils, which give the wine its structure and cool-climate, peppery character; it's presented here in a striking 1.5-litre magnum, ideal for slower development and special occasions.

Expect a savoury, spice-laden Syrah with dark plum and black pepper, violet aromatics and a firm, structured palate typical of the appellation's cool, maritime-influenced growing season.
