Williamson (Laphroaig) 2013 8 Year Old Carn Mor

Càrn Mòr is an independent bottling range from Morrison Distillers, releasing single malts at natural strength with minimal intervention to showcase each distillery's true character. Williamson is the recognised trade name used across the industry for whisky distilled at Laphroaig on Islay, when independent bottlers do not have rights to use the distillery's own name — a nod to Bessie Williamson, the trailblazing manager (and later owner) who led Laphroaig from 1954 to 1972.

This Strictly Limited release was distilled in 2013 and matured for 8 years in a single hogshead before bottling, delivering all the bonfire smoke and salty seaweed character that makes Islay whisky so distinctive, with a gentle sweetness on the finish.
