Yamazaki 18 Year Old

Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, founded in 1923 near Kyoto, is Japan's first and most historic whisky distillery, chosen for the unique convergence of mountain water and morning mist at the confluence of three rivers. Its single malts are renowned worldwide for their depth and complexity, built on a wide range of cask types unmatched by most distilleries.

The 18 Year Old showcases Yamazaki's full range of cask influences, matured in a complex mix of American oak, Spanish sherry oak and rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks, resulting in a deep amber whisky of exceptional balance and refinement.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruit, dark chocolate and Mizunara spice.

Palate: Full-bodied, with sherry-soaked raisin, black cherry and coffee, balanced by subtle oak and smoky undertones.

Finish: Long, velvety and smooth.
