Yamazaki Mizunara 25 Year Old

Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, founded in 1923 near Kyoto, is Japan's first whisky distillery and a pioneer in the use of rare, native Mizunara oak — prized for its incense-like complexity but notoriously difficult to work due to its porous structure.

The Mizunara 25 Year Old is the oldest 100% Mizunara-matured whisky Yamazaki has released, nurtured in these rare casks from start to finish across a full quarter of a century. With fewer than 50 bottles released into the UK, it stands among the rarest and most collectible Japanese single malts produced.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aged sandalwood, fragrant incense and coconut husk.

Palate: Refined spice, soft oak tannins, with subtle floral and citrus undertones.

Finish: Long, contemplative and elegant.
