Chita Distiller's Reserve

Chita distillery sits on the misty, calm shores of the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, central Japan. Built in 1972 by Keizo Saji, Suntory's second Master Blender, it is dedicated to grain whisky, using mainly corn and a continuous multiple-column distillation process that allows for several distinct grain styles — traditionally the quiet backbone of Suntory's blends.

The Chita Distiller's Reserve is a single grain whisky matured in a combination of wine casks, Spanish oak and American white oak, giving it unusual depth and complexity for a grain whisky. It is bottled at 43% ABV without an age statement.

Light and silky on the palate, it offers honey, crème brûlée and soft spice, with a subtle herbaceous freshness. The finish is clean, smooth and refined.
