E H Taylor Small Batch Bourbon

Colonel E.H. Taylor is Buffalo Trace Distillery's tribute to Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., the 19th-century pioneer widely credited with shaping the modern bourbon industry and championing the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. The range is distilled and aged in the distillery's century-old warehouses in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Small Batch is crafted from hand-selected barrels of Buffalo Trace's low-rye Mash Bill No. 1 and bottled in bond at 100 proof (50% ABV) — meaning it is the product of a single distilling season at a single distillery, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse.

The nose offers sweet corn, butterscotch, dried apple and a hint of clove, with a light floral edge alongside vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is rich yet approachable, with caramel, stewed orchard fruit and cinnamon, developing into spice, subtle tobacco and leather. The finish is smooth and medium-long, with sweet spice, brown sugar and a hint of mint.
