Glen Spey 2008 15 Year Old

Glen Spey distillery in Rothes, Speyside, uses purifier pipes on its stills to create a light, delicate house style — malt, nuts, gentle fruit and soft spice — that has made it prized as a blending malt, with official single malt bottlings remaining rare.

Part of Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range, this single cask expression was distilled in 2008 and matured for 15 years in a refill bourbon barrel, with only 258 bottles produced.

Fruity notes of green apple, pineapple and citrus lead into black pepper, charred oak and honey on the finish.
