Gordon & MacPhail, established in Elgin in 1895, is Scotland's oldest independent whisky bottler and holds one of the finest private stocks of mature Macallan casks in existence anywhere. Their Speymalt range presents single malts distilled at The Macallan under Gordon & MacPhail's own maturation and bottling, with vintage-dated releases from the distillery's earlier decades ranking among the rarest whiskies in existence.

This is an ultra-rare Macallan distilled in 1950 and matured for decades in sherry wood before being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Speymalt series - a range that has historically included several individually-cask 1950-vintage Macallan releases, typically bottled around 43% ABV. As distillery-original bottlings from this era are now virtually unobtainable, this Speymalt offers a genuine opportunity to own a taste of 1950s Macallan.
