Sourced from single-vineyard, pre-phylloxera vines planted as far back as 1860 in South Australia’s Eden Valley, Henschke Hill of Grace is a benchmark single-vineyard Shiraz. The 2018 vintage encapsulates a rare balance of power, freshness, and structural harmony.
In the glass, it displays a deep crimson-ruby hue with garnet reflections. The nose opens with aromas of dark plum, wild blackberry, sage, and sweet mint, followed by layers of exotic five-spice, black pepper, and subtle savory notes. On the palate, the wine demonstrates depth without weight—silky, fine-grained tannins frame a core of vibrant dark berries and stone fruits, carrying through to an exceptionally long, spice-accented finish with notes of graphite and crushed herbs.
Farmed using biodynamic and organic principles, the 2018 Hill of Grace is built for long-term cellaring.
