Clase Azul Mezcal Durango

Clase Azul's mezcal range extends the house's hand-painted ceramic decanter artistry beyond tequila into Oaxaca-style agave spirits, working with agave varieties native to Mexico's mezcal-producing states.

This expression is crafted from wild Cenizo agave, which grows in the state of Durango. The region's extreme climate, mineral-rich soil and natural springs impart a distinct depth and complexity, setting it apart from mezcals produced elsewhere in Mexico. As a mezcal rather than a tequila, it is 100% agave and distilled using traditional artisanal methods, even though it is listed in our Tequila category alongside the rest of Clase Azul's range. The decanter's design draws inspiration from black clay pottery, a hallmark of Mexican folk art.
