Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis

Clase Azul's mezcal range extends the house's hand-painted ceramic decanter artistry beyond tequila into Oaxaca-style agave spirits, working with agave varieties native to Mexico's mezcal-producing states.

This, the third mezcal release from Clase Azul, is crafted from green agave native to the deserts of San Luis Potosí. As a mezcal rather than a tequila, it is 100% agave and distilled using traditional artisanal methods, even though it is listed in our Tequila category alongside the rest of Clase Azul's range. Each ceramic decanter is a handmade tribute to the region's desert valleys, adorned with vibrant red finches, with a cap created using traditional yarn-appliqué technique that takes artisans over three hours to complete.

Tasting notes: a rich, earthy bouquet evolving into notes of dried fruit, delicate smokiness and a touch of citrus zest, with a smooth finish carrying subtle warmth and a hint of spice.
