About this bottle

Domaine Gauby is heralded as one of the premier organic estates in Roussillon, known for its commitment to sustainable farming practices since 2001. This remarkable estate employs minimal-intervention methods, leaning towards near-biodynamic practices. It utilizes only indigenous yeasts, avoiding acidification, fining, or filtration, which allows the true essence of the grapes to shine through. The 'Calcinaires' 2019 is an exquisite wine crafted from a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan grapes, sourced from vines that have been carefully tended for 10 to 20 years. These grapes thrive on calcareous, clay-limestone soils located in the picturesque foothills of the Pyrénées, where the unique terroir significantly influences their character. This wine stands out for its remarkable balance of intensity and finesse, showcasing the vibrant nature of the Catalane hillsides.

This wine embodies the warmth and richness of its sun-drenched origins, resulting in a soulful drinking experience.
