The Gabriëlskloof Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a refined, cool-climate white wine originating from the Bot River ward in South Africa’s Western Cape. Crafted to capture the vibrancy of its maritime terroir, the wine undergoes a gentle manual harvest and is fermented in stainless steel tanks using wild yeasts to maintain its bright fruit character. To add complexity and a weighted texture to its light-bodied frame, the wine is aged for seven months on its fine lees.

On the nose, it is remarkably aromatic, leading with a bouquet of lemon, orange, and grapefruit accented by floral notes of jasmine and citrus blossom. These are layered over youthful tropical hints of mango, pineapple, and passion fruit, along with a touch of freshly cut grass. The palate is crisp and precise, delivering intense flavors of lime zest, green apple, and passion fruit supported by a clean minerality and a zesty, persistent finish. With an ABV of 13.5% and a convenient screw cap closure, this wine is best served chilled at 9°C and pairs exceptionally well with fresh seafood, summer salads, or light appetizers.
