Gallina de Piel Manar dos Seixas Ribeiro 2021 is a vibrant, Atlantic-influenced white from the historic Ribeiro region of Galicia in north-west Spain. Crafted by David Seijas under his Gallina de Piel project, this wine captures the freshness and elegance for which the region is renowned. The blend is led by Treixadura, supported by small portions of Albariño, Godello and Loureiro from old vines rooted in sandy loam soils along the Miño River valley.
Hand-harvested fruit undergoes a gentle cold maceration before fermenting in stainless steel, followed by several months ageing on fine lees to build texture while preserving purity and brightness. Unoaked and bone dry, the 2021 vintage shows lifted aromas of lemon zest, green apple and white blossom, layered with subtle chamomile and fresh herbs. The palate is crisp and precise, driven by lively acidity and saline minerality, finishing long, clean and refreshingly savoury. An elegant, food-friendly white that pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled fish and light Mediterranean dishes.
