Piper Heidsieck Essentiel Cuvee

Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 in Reims and has one of Champagne's most storied histories, from starring in Laurel and Hardy's 1933 film 'Sons of the Desert' to being Marilyn Monroe's favourite house.

Essentiel is a limited-quantities range reserved for independent merchants and the on-trade, crafted from grapes selected across around 50 crus. This bottling blends 22% Chardonnay, 44% Pinot Noir and 34% Pinot Meunier, sourced primarily from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards and aged for a minimum of four years on lees, with 30% reserve wine and a low dosage of around 6g/l.

Defined by outstanding freshness, it is expressive and fruit-driven, with notes of nectarine and plum lifted by exotic pineapple, paprika and raspberry.
