The 2019 vintage was marked by a warm growing season, encouraging ripe, concentrated fruit while retaining the hallmark freshness of the Côte de Beaune. In the glass, it shimmers with pale gold tones, releasing aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and a subtle whisper of acacia blossom. Layers of hazelnut, chalk, and a hint of fresh brioche emerge as it opens, a nod to its careful élevage. The palate is textured yet refined, balancing creamy depth with vibrant minerality. A saline edge lifts the finish, inviting another sip.
This is a Chardonnay that speaks of both sunshine and stone, equally at home alongside roast poultry in a tarragon cream sauce or seared scallops with beurre blanc. While already showing beautiful complexity, it will reward a few more years in the cellar, allowing its floral and nutty notes to evolve into something truly profound.
