Sazerac De Forge Cognac

Sazerac de Forge & Fils is a genuine Cognac house, distinct from Sazerac Rye whiskey made by the same parent company. Named after Bernard Sazerac de Forge, who founded a Cognac house in France in 1782, the brand was revived when the Sazerac Company acquired Domaine Sazerac de Segonzac in the heart of the Cognac region.

This "Finest Original" blend brings together eaux-de-vie aged between seven and fifty years, crafted in part from old, rare native grape varieties that were widespread before the Phylloxera epidemic of the 1800s reshaped Cognac production. Bottled at 40% ABV in very limited quantities.

Aroma: yellow stone-fruits, dried flowers, citrus peel and warm spice. Flavour: silky and creamy, with dried fruits, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. Finish: soft oaky tannins with vanilla and black peppercorn.
